International Conference on Service Oriented Computing

FOR-MOVES Workshop

During the few last years the use of formal approaches for the modeling and the verification of service-based processes is increasingly widespread. On the one hand, formal modeling allows one to define unambiguous semantics for the languages and protocols used for the specification of service-oriented systems. On the other hand, formal verification approaches are popular means of checking the correctness properties of these applications, such as safety, liveness, QoS requirements and security. Such properties can be considered as behavioral criteria for compatibility between different local services/processes. The aim of FOR-MOVES workshop is to provide a venue for presentation and discussion of new ideas and work in progress in formal modeling and verification methods in the field of service oriented computing.
